Methods

Overall resistance score

SRBS ranks cohort values within each reported antibiotic on a 0–100 scale, then averages the available ranks for each cohort. The map shows the median cohort score for each country or territory. The overall score includes the endpoint proxies accepted in Package D and expresses relative position in that dataset.

Resistance to a single antibiotic

Drug views show the median of measured resistant-only percentages from reporting cohorts. Each cohort has equal weight. Non-susceptibility, conditional rates, and imputed values are excluded. An unshaded area has no reported value for the current filter.

Comparing results

Collection periods, specimens, and testing panels vary by cohort. An overall score compares relative ranks, and a drug median summarizes reporting cohorts. The matched Malaysia–Indonesia and paired Al-Najaf examples state their narrower scope separately.

Data and boundaries

The country-neutral Package D release includes routine clinical data from Al-Najaf and international surveillance and published studies. Supplied susceptibility interpretations were used for the Al-Najaf analysis. Map boundaries follow Natural Earth. Natural Earth
